Our homelessness network contributes to challenging prejudices and improving the understanding of homelessness within and across housing opportunity and wellbeing professional boundaries as well as in communities. This is achieved through
- raising awareness of and challenging misconceptions about homelessness among community members, organisations and professional stakeholders through the development of the Unheard Voices theatre group
- the delivery and follow up (with both community members and organisations and professional stakeholders) of a locally focussed SpeakOut event bi-annually in each community area
- providing timely and credible service user and service provider intelligence and opportunities for dialogue between service users, community members and organisations, and professional stakeholders about local area and city wide developments
- publishing information about homelessness issues targeted to community audiences and professional stakeholders, to support good practice in local and city-wide developments
- indentifying, investigating and building capacity for priority areas of awareness raising among community members and organisations and professional stakeholders
