The Cup With No Handle

Based on interviews with service users, the purpose of this research was to examine the following:

  • to establish what people affected by homelessness in Glasgow felt about their own social networks
  • to investigate whether disrupted or negative networks contributed to their homelessness
  • to examine whether specific support for feelings of loneliness and isolation might have prevented or alleviated their homelessness, and
  • what intentions or expectations they had around what  their future (post-homelessness) social networks would look like.
