Integrating Service User Participation in the Glasgow Community Health Partnerships
In partnership with Glasgow's Community Health Partnerships (CHP's), GHN is working to integrate Service User Participation into the planning and delivery of homelessness and other services in local areas.
This work has its' roots in a successful pilot in Glasgow West CHCP in 2008, and was successfully rolled out to the other local Partnerships in both 2009 and 2010.
The model enables systematic input at a strategic and service level from service users, service providers, planners and members of local communities.
As part of this work GHN hosts Shared Solutions Workshops across the city.
Shared Solutions Workshops bring together a wide cross-section of people involved in or affected by homelessness - from service managers to service users and members of the local community. Working dynamically in small groups, and able to hear, share and consider the specific challenges facing each other, particpants are asked to identify priority issues relating to homelessness in their area and then look at practical ways of solving these issues.
Copies of the full and summary reports from previous Shared Solutions Workshops are accessible from the Shared Solutions 2009 and Shared Solutions 2010 pages of this website.
