Voting

Shelter Scotland have teamed up with the Electoral Commission to encourage homeless people and people living in temporary accommodation to register to vote.

People with no fixed address may vote, provided they are over 18 and British, or citizens of a European Union or Commonwealth country. if this applies to you, then you can register using a temporary address - like a hostel - or by making a "declaration of a local connection" at your local electoral office.

You can find out more about registering to vote in Glasgow by checking out Glasgow City Council's website. The website produced by Shelter Scotland and the Electoral Commission is also well worth looking at for more general information - see About My Vote.
