"Alone" (Domestic Violence, Women’s Issues) ‘Alone’ is made up of small sketches highlighting women’s issues. The first scene is movement choreographed for each character illustrating feelings or situations they find themselves in. The performance contrasts two characters given jail sentences, a woman defending herself against an abusive partner, and a man convicted of driving while drunk. We also follow two females, both with abusive partners, but very different journeys. This is a very powerful piece enhanced by song and live music. ‘I liked the actors portrayal of people’s stories & the interactions’ ‘I liked the performance- portrayal of young woman route to homelessness' ‘'I liked the performance. Felt very proud of the cast and the sentiments. Powerful.’ ‘'I like the fact that it centred on the people’s stories and the strong character work that was obviously put in’
