Research Seminar: Destitution in the UK

Published:

Over the past year GHN has played a supporting role in the research being undertaken by Heriot-Watt University into Destitution in the UK.  Glasgow was one of a number of cities the research was conducted in, with the aim of:

  • developing a better understanding of the scale and scope of destitution;
  • identifying who is affected by it;
  • understanding the main pathways in and out of destitution; and
  • making recommendations about how public policy should respond to the situation.

Professor Suzanne Fitzpatrick will be delivering a seminar on the key findings on Wednesday 9th March, 9.45am – 12 noon at the Adelphi Centre. Interest has been high and space limited, so bookings on a first-come-first-served basis. Please contact claire@ghn.org.uk.
